Completed in late 1999, Villa Pangi Gita epitomizes

Each of the three luxurious bedrooms is privately
set in its own pavilion.
Designed by architects of the renowned Four Seasons
Resort at Jimbaran, all the buildings on the property
are roofed in weathered ironwood shingles. The white
of the walls and warm brown of the teak door and window
frames and floors, form the primary colors of this
villa, providing a lovely contrast against the greenery
of the tropical plants throughout the garden.
Water plays a central and important role in the
agriculturally based culture of Bali and is reflected
in Pangi Gita. Paths of white stone cross many water
features, descending stairs past fountains, the relaxing
sound of water in motion to lulling the senses throughout
the villa.
Walls with carved stone panels demonstrate the caliber
of Bali's artists, and further enhance the villa's
local continuity. The owner is a serious collector
of Asian antiquities, and pieces from his collection,
some of museum quality, are to be seen throughout
the villa.
With its spacious and luxurious atmosphere, numerous
antiques and fine details, Villa Pangi Gita is ideally

Sloping decently landscaped grounds bordered by the
Pangi river hosts three separated bedroom pavilions,
kitchen, dining room pavilion with bar, open-air living
room, separate study pavilion, a bale (Balinese traditional
garden gazebo), and swimming pool.
Bedrooms
All the air-conditioned bedrooms have queen-sized
teak beds with mosquito net canopies, TV, video-player,
stereo, safe deposit box, and decorated with antique
artifacts.
Individually housed in separate pavilions allow guests
to enjoy luxuriant and abundant privacy, the master
bedroom features a walk-through closet and a large
bathroom with an oversized bathtub, a private deck,
and panoramic views to the pool and the river.
Further back on the property are the two guest bedrooms.
Adjoining each room is a large en-suite Bali-style
bathroom with an outdoor shower and bathtub set in
a private mini garden.
Living areas
In the middle sits the open-air living room with
two-tiered roof furnished with immaculate white cushioned
sofas and several antiques. This carefully crafted
and decorated room is the nexus of the house and is
an excellent place for entertaining and relaxing.
Leading off from the living room is a fully enclosed
study room, surrounded by a small pond. The dark wood
shelves on its walls hold an impressive collection
of books, satellite television, and an extensive video
and music library.
Garden and swimming pool
The infinity-enged swimming pool is surrounded by
deck with sun-loungers offering views of the ricefield
on the other side of the river. Nearby and sharing
the same view is a bale (Balinese gazebo) furnished
with overstuffed cushions, providing an ideal location
for daytime massages.
