| 10 Energetic
Ideas on your Bali Vacation
Bali, a perfect tropical hideaway, where everyone can
share energetic moments while experiencing the exotic
beauty of the island, its people, and culture. Below
are 10 good reason why:
(1) Diving
The waters around Bali are teaming with exotic fish,
corals, and marine life. Many divers choose the World
War II shipwreck in Tulamben for an added amount of
excitement. Wherever you choose, you can be sure to
have a spectacular dive. There are various dive schools
and courses offered all over.
(2) Water Rafting
This exhilarating sport is at its best during the rainy
season when the rapids are swooshing from the mountains.
Ayung River, in Ubud, is very popular and several operators
offer various packages including pick-up and lunch.
A must, as the jungles are stunning.
(3) Horse Riding
Perhaps this past time does not readily spring to mind
when one thinks of Bali, but what better way to gentle
amble the beaches or surrounding countryside. There
are several equestrian centers to be found notably in
Canggu and Umalas.
(4) Surfing
Imagine a tropical island, the white sand beaches, or
black volcanic sands of the north, crashing waves, and
fabulous weather. This combined with all the comforts
of an international resort destination and you are truly
in surfers' paradise. Get out there with the rest, even
if you have your first lessons at one of the reputable
surf schools in Legian.
(5) Swimming
Good old-fashioned swimming is a great way to limber
up and tone those muscles. Many hotels have stunning
pools and water aerobics, and the sea offers quick dip,
although watch out for dangerous rips, so stay within
the designated area, often marked between flags.
(6) Sailing
Here is a different way to enjoy Bali. Take a sailing
trip. A great experience that will have lasting memories.
There are many different ways to enjoy the waters, from
catamarans to day-trip style cruisers. Most go to neighboring
Nusa Lembongan, or just around the coast during dinner
cruises.
(7) Biking Bali
What a wonderful way to explore the surrounding countryside
of Bali at your own pace. Accompanied by qualified resort
guide, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the rice
terraces, the distant mountains, turbulent rivers, natural
springs, fascinating archeological sites, and artisans
at work in their villages especially in Ubud area.
(8) Yoga and Meditation
Bali is often considered as a centre of spiritual energy.
There are various hot-spots where yoga and meditation
may be practiced for optimal results. Perhaps not seen
as the most energetic of practice, they are nonetheless
an integral part of the island, as well as being popular
with visitors.
(9) Village Trekking
Experience the sights, sounds, and scents of Bali as
you trek at a leisurely pace across the Petanu River,
through rain forest, past ancient temples, around traditional
Balinese villages and through the surrounding rice terraces,
along with a qualified guide explaining all points of
interest along the way.
(10) Snorkeling
Enjoyed by the whole family, this is a fuss free, easy
activity needing flippers, mask, and snorkel, Most hotels
and resorts let you borrow for free, or for a minimal
charge. The best snorkeling would be off a boat just
a little out to the sea, from most areas.
